Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra review: An expensive all-purpose premium phone

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is a premium model in Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Note20 series of smartphones. This smartphone maxes out on almost all fronts — design, display, imaging, productivity features, ingress protection, charging technology, etc. It seems to be one of the versatile smartphones for work, play and everything else in between. However, good things come for a price and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is not cheap — its sole 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant costs Rs 1,04,999.

Is the product truly worth the price tag it carries? Let’s find out:Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Design

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra is wide (77.2 mm) and heavy (208g), and it continues with the conventional Galaxy Note-series rectangular slab design. It, however, gets a new Mystic Bronze paintjob, which attracts attention and looks absolutely stunning. The colour might have been named Mystic because it reflects different hues and has a tinge of rose gold, chocolate brown and bronze colours. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra is one of the few phones that feel comfortable to operate despite a big stature. This is partially due to its wide form factor, which makes it easy to hold and operate the device while using both hands. That said, the phone is not made for single-hand usage.

OPPO Reno4 Pro review: Great design, display and battery, but expensive

The OPPO Reno4 Pro recently made its global debut from India. Priced at Rs 34,990, the smartphone is a midrange offering with features inspired by the company’s premium offerings. These include OPPO’s 3D borderless sense screen — that is just a fancy name for side-curved screen — and 65W fast-charging capability. Besides, the phone has a distinct design and 3.5mm audio out port, a combination that most other smartphones in the midrange segment lack.

Overall, the OPPO Reno4 Pro seems to be an all-rounder with something in store for everyone. But is it good enough to justify its premium midrange pricing? Let’s find out:OPPO Reno4 Pro: Design

The OPPO Reno4 Pro has a thin (7.7mm), compact and lightweight (161g) construction with ergonomics that feel natural to hold and comfortable to operate. The phone’s front is dominated by a side-curved screen with a punch-hole for front camera — that is the only distraction on an otherwise seamless front profile. The phone’s back boasts a gradient design, which looks dazzling, especially in the starry night colour variant (the unit we reviewed). Made of plastic, the back cover is susceptible to scratches. However, its matte texture hides these scratches and also improves the phone’s in-hand grip. Like the back, the phone’s frame is also made of plastic and it has a glossy paint covering it, which may wither away after prolonged usage.Read Complete Article

Reliance Industries Ltd, Ambani’s oil, retail and telecommunications conglomerate, is in various stages of negotiations to either buy out or purchase stakes in Urban Ladder, an online furniture seller, Zivame, a lingerie maker, and Netmeds, which delivers medicine, the people said, asking not to be identified as the talks are confidential. There’s no certainty the deliberations may result in a deal, they added.

The 63-year-old tycoon is seeking to widen his retail footprint in a market that’s become a hot spot for global giants such as Amazon as well as many local rivals, all chasing a billion-plus consumers.
